Ladies and gentlemen, friends and business partners,
The founding of the “Airship Rescue” association (earlier known as German Airship Rescue e.V.) is entwined with the events of 26th December 2004. The tsunami in Thailand cost 225 000 people their lives. Many of those died because they were so isolated from the outside world that their rescue was impossible, even though they had survived the tsunami uninjured.
One question kept me up at night:
How and by what means can we help people in completely inaccessible areas more quickly and more safely than what is currently possible, independent of external influences or time of day?
With this website, I would like to share the solution to this problem and to ask you for your support in continuing our important work.
With your help, we save lives!
With warmest regards,
